ESPN's "Outside the Lines" will air today its report based on interviews with Brenda Monk, a former academic adviser at Florida State University who is now suing the university. FSU is now challenging ESPN on the accuracy of the report ESPN on the university's academic-misconduct case.
University officials believe the show will air interviews with at least two former FSU football players — Fred Rouse and Paul Griffin. Fred Rouse, a Lincoln High graduate, was dismissed from FSU after playing just one semester. He was suspended for multiple games during that season for what the university reported at the time as a violation of team rules.
Griffin graduated from Butler Community College in December 2005 and enrolled at FSU in January 2006. He finished his career at FSU in 2008.
Florida State goes on the offensive against ESPN show.
