At the backstage of CMA Awards 2009 or 43rd Annual Country Music Association Awards, Country Music Hall of Famer Barbara Mandrell praised Swift, who is only the third female to win the entertainer award since Mandrell won in 1981.

“I think it’ll be exciting to watch where she takes it,” Mandrell said.

The 19-year-old multi-platinum singer Taylor Swift won the Country Music Association’s biggest prize, entertainer of the year, at the 43rd Annual CMA Awards, held Wednesday night at the Sommet Center.
